About Decisively Different
Decisively Different is an embedded experience practice.
I partner with C-suite leaders to step into complex organizations, make sense of how they are actually functioning, and build the clarity, structures, and ways of working that move teams from stalled strategy into execution.
Why Decisively Different exists
Experience, when used well, is not decoration. It is how organizations make strategy visible, decisions clear, and execution sustainable.
Most organizations treat experience as the last layer, something applied after the real work is done. It is not. It is the lens that determines whether the work delivers, for the people doing it and the people it serves.
Decisively Different was built on that belief.
How it works
Every engagement is hands-on and embedded. I work inside the organization's systems and problems, alongside the people accountable for outcomes, with shared accountability for what happens next.
I don't wait for perfect conditions. I move fast, build clarity quickly, and begin shaping solutions while maintaining deep respect for the complexity of the problem.
This is not an advisory engagement or a framework delivered and handed off. It is experience leadership inside the system, making tradeoffs visible, aligning teams around what matters, and ensuring the work actually lands.
When the engagement calls for it, I extend through a trusted network of senior operators to support delivery at scale without slowing momentum.

Meet the founder
I'm Amy Clark, Ed.D. I've spent over 20 years working at the intersection of experience design, technology, and enterprise transformation, inside Adobe during its shift to Creative Cloud, at IBM leading global design and AI transformation, and most recently embedded as a fractional executive inside a global consumer goods organization. My doctorate in Innovative Leadership deepened something I had always believed: that the best outcomes happen when people's strengths are matched to the right environment and given the conditions to flourish.
I built Decisively Different because I kept seeing the same gap, between what organizations intended to deliver and what they actually could. Not because the strategy was wrong. Because the systems, structures, and experiences supporting the people inside them weren't designed to make it possible.
I move fast, I think in systems, and I thrive in complexity and ambiguity. The messier the situation, the clearer my thinking gets. I care deeply about the humans on both sides of the work. That combination is what Decisively Different brings to every engagement.
My long game is a boutique agency run from the Oregon coast, where the work is meaningful, the team is doing the best work of their lives, and the dog gets a walk on the beach every morning.
Working together
Every engagement is led directly by me. No handoffs, no junior teams, just executive experience leadership embedded inside your organization without the overhead of a full-time hire.
Engagements are structured as fractional executive partnerships, giving you the flexibility to scale support as priorities evolve.
